An in-depth look at artworks created to inspire compassion

How do paintings and photographs invite us to relate to another person’s experience? Join Veronica White, the Museum’ s curator of teaching and learning, for a discussion of several works in the Museum's collections, focusing on European art from the fifteenth through twentieth centuries. This tour will consider the stylistic and technical methods artists have used to encourage an empathetic response.
