Workshop: Embroidery on Paper
Explore the creative possibilities of embroidery on paper with artist Ylvia Asal.
Transform two-dimensional surfaces into textured and layered works of art, combining drawing, painting, and collage with embroidery techniques. Artist Ylvia Asal will guide participants through a hands-on exploration of embroidery as a tool for expression, connection, and storytelling, with a visit to Museum galleries for inspiration and conversation.
Materials and images will be provided. Participants are invited to bring any landscapes or portraits—such as photographs, watercolors, drawings, or other images—to incorporate into their embroidery project. This workshop involves detailed needlework, so reading glasses (if needed) or magnifying glasses are recommended!
